Q: How do you design an after cooler pipe for a two-stage, reciprocating compressor with aluminum fins?

A: The design of an after cooler for compressor discharge will follow the same heuristics as any other exchanger. Please refer to a texts such as Perry’s Chemical Engineers Handbook, Process Heat Transfer by Hewitt, Shires & Bott, and the Heat Exchanger Design Handbook.
