Crystallization of hydrates
I am carrying out crystallization of hydrates by evaporation. I have a slurry at 70ºC and I want to separate the crystals from the slurry. The problem is that as soon as I start filtration, it is exposed to an atmospheric temp and agglomeration and the transformation of crystals take place. Will you please suggest a way to get rid of this? The set up is for a 200-ml batch reactor. I stop crystallization and then I start filtration by pouring the slurry into a filtration funnel. Instead of filtration, agglomeration takes place.

Supersaturation chemicals
How do I obtain supersaturation for chemicals in which solubility increases with temperature until after a point, it decreases? What type of supersaturation is it?

Relative supersaturation for calcium oxalate monohydrate
I came across the relative supersaturation for calcium oxalate monohydrate (Ca2C2O4.H2O) as 1.2. How does one come up with that figure? How was it calculated?

Atomizer nozzle for reaction crystallization
For reaction crystallization in a semi-batch reactor setup, if a atomizer nozzle is attached to the feed pipe, would the product quality be affected? If yes, in what ways? Would it improve mixing, and thereby selectivity?
