Motors suit severe duty applications
The Reliance API 547 line of large AC motors is specifically designed for the petroleum and petrochemical industries. The motors meet the American Petroleum Institute’s Specification 547 requirements and have received the API’s “monogram of approval.” Designed for safe and reliable operation in severe duty applications, the motors are available from 250 through 3,000 hp in two-, four-, six- and eight-pole configurations. These motors are said to be ideal for pump compressor and fan applications and can be manufactured to comply with specific customer requirements for critical duty motors.
The Model 20 HT/GT top-entering agitators boast a swing-out seal change design for easy seal maintenance and reduced maintenance cost. With the agitators, there’s no need to lift or remove the gearbox, saving labor and downtime. For replacement of the mechanical seal, simply rotate the gearbox 90° around the pivot pin. The top of the seal pedestal opens for a clear, line-of-site view and ample room for easy removal of the coupling half and seal assembly. The agitators feature a high-efficiency gearbox with helical gearing and a parallel shaft configuration designed specifically for agitator service as well as a modular design package that reduces the number of replacement parts that need to be carried in inventory by the customer.
The Six Shooter Air Cannon System has integral controls that allow one air cannon to supply powerful blasts to improve bulk material flow in a storage or process vessel. The system uses double braided stainless steel hoses to reach up to six discharge ports from a central location. By serving multiple outlets from one air reservoir, the system is ideal for installations where multiple discharge points are located in close proximity. By separating the air cannon from the discharge points, the system shelters its working components from dust, gases and high temperature conditions, making it a wise choice for high-temperature, high-dust, high-stress applications.
Rotary control valves produce high recovery factor
K-Max rotary control valves are said to work well on clean, dirty, viscous, corrosive, abrasive, high pressure/temperature fluids, liquids and gases. The versatile and rugged valves have a high recovery factor (FL) and their design incorporates cam action, low friction plug operation while providing tight shutoff (Class IV and V metal-to-metal seating and VI with PTFE seating) over long service life in a wide variety of flow control applications. The valves feature an economical design, eccentric rotary plug action, self-aligning orbital seat, rangeability of 100:1, and bi-directional flow capacity. They are available in one-inch through eight-inch sizes with ANSI 150-300-600 ratings in carbon steel, 316 stainless, alloy 20, Hastelloy C and titanium.
The Drymeister Model DMR-1 machine for flash drying is available in a wide range of sizes for pilot to large scale production with evaporation rates as high as 6,000 kg/h. It uses a high-speed dispersion rotor in combination with a classifying rotor to provide drying efficiency. Features include the ability to handle a wide range of feed viscosities, from slurries to pastes to filter cakes. The machine maintains dispersion of solids for efficient drying and high inlet gas temperatures up to 600°C.
The advanced Multijector vacuum conveyors safely transport powders, granules and other bulk materials to to packaging and filling processes. The result is an interactive, enclosed transfer system, suitable for pellets, capsules or tablets. The conveyors safely load mixers, filling machines, tablet presses or any other kind of process equipment or vessel (containers, silos etc.). Conveyable bulk materials also include traditionally difficult and sensitive powders. The cyclic vacuum plug-flow conveying arrangement avoids product separation or segregation. When introducing small quantities of powder into the system either manual suction wands or feeding hoppers are used. For larger quantities, bag rip and tip stations or bulk bag unloading devices are more common.
The iSense software suite is a tool for maintenance, documentation and management of pH and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) sensors. With the software, sensors used in the process are said to be highly accurate, more reliable and become significantly more cost-efficient to maintain. Based on proprietary Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM) technology, the software offers measurement loops for field operation that allow users of process analytical equipment to run their processes using intelligent sensors that are able to provide sensor-specific, real-time status information.
Gas detection system functions in range of climates
The SafEye Xenon 800 Gas Detection System detects a wide range of hydrocarbons over an open path of up to 120 meters. Resistant to false alarms and poisoning, it said to operate well in an extremely wide range of climates. A unique combination of triple optics and dual-spectrum sensor allows the system to maintain operational integrity in up to 90% signal obscuration.
Gas pressure regulators provide accuracy, bubble-tight shut-Off
This line of gas pressure regulators is designed with advanced features that are said to offer superior accuracy and long–term reliable operation. The regulators feature accuracies of ±1% of full scale, as well as compact design, low noise and wide rangeability. The regulators are available in body sizes from one inch to 10 inches. They boast true top-entry design, which provides for ease of maintenance in all models and sizes, and bubble tight shut-off, for environmental responsibility. The large rangeability designed into these regulators provides for quieter operation and lower pressure drop through the regulator.
Supervision software gathers data after configuring a single control loop
The wizard builder in PlantTriage performance supervision software creates connection wizards for communication between process controllers (DCSs and PLCs) and PC-based software. To analyze an entire plant, you must first connect to hundreds of data sources in the plant control system. After configuring a single control loop, the wizard builder uses its intelligence about specific control systems to automatically poll the control system for the data it needs. The wizard builder is said to reduce configuration time by up to 90% and to practically eliminate address configuration errors.
