Invensys Operations Management has introduced new refinery-wide optimization solutions that complement its existing portfolio of SimSci-Esscor hydrocarbon processing industry (HPI) offerings.
To help refiners meet the increasing demands of today’s operating environment, the company has issued two new offerings: a yield accounting solution and an off-sites solution integrated with planning and scheduling systems.
The Invensys Yield Accounting solution was designed to streamline data transfer between off-sites software and yield accounting software to ensure that the correct information is being used. It then converts that process data into reliable operating information by using built-in data reconciliation algorithms.
The company also announced that it has acquired Spiral Software, a privately held company headquartered in Cambridge, UK. Spiral Software provides an integrated refining-industry solution designed from the ground up, bringing together feedstock data management, planning and scheduling. This means that Invensys Operations Management’s SimSci-Esscor solutions will now fully support and optimize the entire refining value chain, from crude trading to supply-chain distribution, including lifecycle modeling from design to start up to performance optimization.
Invensys also released an off-sites solution that integrates planning, scheduling and off-sites systems to its SimSci-Esscor ROMeo optimization software. This new solution allows refineries that already have blend operations and optimization practices in place to leverage these two sources of information.
