Hawk America Announces Firmware Upgrade

June 6, 2012
Upgrade offers simpler calibration for Sultan Acoustic Wave Level.

Hawk America has added a new firmware program to help simplify the calibration of the fourth generation acoustic technology of the Sultan Acoustic Wave Level. It is designed to enable startup for 22 different applications including ROM bins, process slurry sumps, primary crushers, stockpile monitoring and positioning.

Converting the AWR234SUXXXX Remote Sultan transmitter from a three- or four-wire AC/DC supply to a two-wire loop powered 24vdc supply sometimes meant calibration changes to the transducer. With the new firmware upgrade, the process is calibrated automatically.

“This firmware gives new life to a product that is still the most powerful and flexible acoustic transmitter in the market,” said Jack Evans, President of Hawk America.
