Endress Hauser Releases Whitepaper On Guided Wave Radar
Feb. 21, 2012
Whitepaper focuses on importance of accurate level measurements in steam applications.
Endress+Hauser has released a new whitepaper called “Proper Employment of Guided Wave Radar in Steam Loops.” In addition to discussing how guided wave radar can be used to measure level in steam applications such as feedwater tanks, high pressure preheaters, hotwells and drums, the whitepaper explains how the technology functions, how it differs from more traditional forms of level indication in steam applications, and when it is the best solution.
According to the whitepaper, measuring level is critical in steam systems as it is used to control water supply and corresponding steam levels. In more extreme circumstances, damage to other components from either too much water (carryover) or too little water (low water condition) can occur, shortening a boiler’s lifespan. In the most extreme situation, a dry fire accident could occur resulting in severe damage and personal injury.
Many facilities handle dangerous processes and products on a daily basis. Keeping everything under control demands well-trained people working with the best equipment.
