Honeywell's Safety Manager Receives ISASecure EDSA Certification

July 27, 2011
Award recognizes Honeywell's progress with cyber-security standards.

Honeywell’s Safety Manager solution received the ISASecure Embedded Device Security Assurance (EDSA) certification by exida. Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) is the first process automation vendor in the industry to get this certification, Honeywell says.

The award recognizes the integrity of both the embedded Safety Manager device and its development lifecycle. HPS received the award at its annual Users Group Americas conference.

Founded in 2007, the ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI) provides assurance for the cyber security of industrial automation control systems, and its certification specifications are established in collaboration with industry, trade associations, consumers, academia, government and regulatory agencies.  Honeywell is a founding member of the ISCI.
