Honeywell has launched its fifth annual competition for technical students in colleges and universities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), which challenges them to devise ways of advancing innovation in the process automation industry. Students are invited to demonstrate their creativity by using the company's UniSim Design Suite software to create a process design aimed at solving a critical plant business issue.
A committee made up of experts in the field will select the winner, who, together with their sponsoring tutor, will receive an expenses-paid trip to the Honeywell EMEA Users' Group 2012 Conference (HUG) in November in Istanbul, Turkey, where they will present their winning project. The sponsoring tutor will also get the opportunity to attend a training course focused on technological innovation at one of Honeywell's world-class automation colleges.
Abstracts detailing the benefits derived from the design, of approximately 300 words in length, accompanied with a short presentation, should be submitted by Aug. 30.
