Siemens expands its line of 2nd generation HMI Mobile Panels to include the new Simatic HMI KTP400F featuring a 4-inch widescreen display. The wired Mobile Panel offers a fully dimmable, 16-million-color widescreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Features include an illuminated emergency stop button, flexible options to integrate into safety applications and a compact connection box that can be directly mounted to the cabinet.
The new IP65 operator panel can be used across a wide range of temperatures (from 0 to 45°C), is dust-tight and resistant to chemicals and offers splash water protection. The Mobile Panel’s rugged industrial construction reportedly withstands falls up to 1.2 meters.
The panel offers combined key and touch operation. A new-style editor allows operating screens to be easily adapted to design requirements, according to the company. The KTP400F integrates into the automation system via Profinet and is configured using the Simatic WinCC engineering tool in the TIA Portal.
