Chemical Processing's Equipment & Services feature provides a variety of production equipment, supplier services and parts.
Container dumper avoids dust
The stainless steel Lift & Seal container dumper provides a dust-tight discharge of chemical powders into an existing 46-in. high stir pot. The container is loaded via pallet jack at floor level, hydraulically sealed to a 304 stainless steel pour hood, then rotated 60° past horizontal, creating a seal against a custom pivoting sealing plate. Once sealed, a slide gate is opened, releasing product into the stir pot. The unit features wash-down-duty stainless steel construction with a No. 4 finish and continuous welds. It can be custom designed to any size, weight or discharge height.
The FT4 rheometer is a universal powder tester that builds a complete picture of the materials behavior. It uses a dynamic methodology, complemented by shear testing and the measurement of bulk properties. All tests are automated and fast, with a test program typically completed in five minutes. Software ensures rapid interpretation and summary of measured data, and data analysis can be performed remotely. Determination of basic flowability energy (BFE) is followed by a number of standard tests designed to evaluate many different variables, including consolidation and aeration.
The FireSight high-temperature remote viewing system continuously and safely permits viewing of the flame quality and impingement if present on the tube walls of process heaters. The system allows an operator to view the flame in real time to tune the furnace . It also provides an economical means to speed light off and reduce NOx emissions by permitting color video monitoring of combustion and process control in boilers, furnaces, kilns and incinerators. It can operate trouble-free in temperatures up to 3,000F/1,648C (air-cooled model) or 4,250F/2,343C (water-cooled).
The Hydraulic Bulk Bag Conditioner loosens bulk solid material that have solidified during storage and shipment, enabling bulk bag unloaders to discharge it through bag spouts. The conditioner features two hydraulic rams with specially-contoured end plates to press opposing sides of bulk bags. An optional hydraulically-actuated, variable-height turntable allows in-frame bag rotation and conditioning of bulk bags at varying heights. The number and pressure of hydraulic ram actuations, the height of the turntable, and the number of 90° rotations are user adjustable. The system controller and hydraulic pump can be mounted on the exterior of the safety cage or remotely.
The Model 115/116 gauges are direct drop-in replacements for the most level gauges using common mounting configurations without having to re-tube the gauge to retrofit a tank. The gauges fit right up to stationary or mobile tanks. The gauges are available in ranges from 0-10-in. H2O to 0-415-in. H2O (0-25 mbar to 0-1 bar). The 1,000 psig working pressure is optimum for CO2 applications. The dry bellows design uses an internal bi-directional relief valve which protects the gauge from over pressurizing.
Many facilities handle dangerous processes and products on a daily basis. Keeping everything under control demands well-trained people working with the best equipment.
