The Fieldbus Foundation will begin its 2011 Foundation fieldbus end-user seminar schedule for North and South America May 24 in Carson, Calif.
The sessions will focus on how fieldbus technology provides a supplier-neutral, standards-based process automation infrastructure, according to the Fieldbus Foundation.
Seminar participants will receive a certificate that can be used for PDH hours and hard copies of presentation materials. Participants also receive discount certificates for 10% regular course pricing at any North American Foundation Certified Training Center.
The 2011 end user seminar schedule also includes sessions in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, June 16; Mexico City, Mexico, Aug, 23; Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Sept. 20: Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada, Sept. 22; Detroit Oct. 11; Corpus Christi, Texas, Nov. 7; Baton Rouge, La, Nov. 9; Beaumont, Texas, Nov. 10.
The seminars will be geared toward process-industry end users and engineering firms. The Fieldbus Foundation's one-day seminars cover all aspects of Foundation technology business value, successful project execution, and successful system design. Industry end users, systems integrators, and trainers will discuss successful installation and commissioning practices, control strategies, and operational and maintenance strategies.
Each topic will be discussed in detail for 45 minutes to one hour followed by a hands-on live demonstration of 15 to 20 minutes to reinforce the subject matter. The seminars conclude with a panel of experts who will answer audience questions.
