NLB Corp. has introduced universal heads for its patented Typhoon self-rotating nozzles that can cut through blocked tubes while polishing the tube I.D., saving a nozzle change. These seven heads — used with Typhoon models RPN1510, RPN2410, RPN1520, and RPN2020 — combine cutting orifices and polishing orifices in a single design.
Typhoon nozzles clean tubes as small as 5/8 inches in diameter, rotating at speeds up to 7,000 rpm. The rotating action comes from the head instead of the barrel, focusing the force of the high-pressure water (15,000 psi to 40,000 psi, or 1,035 bar to 2,800 bar) up front where it can be most effective. All Typhoon nozzles are made of high-grade stainless steel and coated with titanium nitride for durability and long life.
The new universal Typhoon heads are stocked at all NLB branches and offer convenience to customers who wish to avoid changing nozzles. NLB also offers heads specially designed for cutting or polishing. A larger nozzle, the Typhoon 20, is available for pipe diameters from 6 inches to 10 inches (15.2 cm to 25.4 cm).
