Historical Data Software Utilizes Unified Production Model For More Consistent Reports
Rockwell Automation's newest version of its FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition (SE) application incorporates FactoryTalk VantagePoint software as its reporting client to aggregate historical, real-time alarms and events data. By utilizing FactoryTalk VantagePoint as the client, users can create reports using an advanced Trend Tool, XY Plotter, Excel Add-in and dashboards and publish them via a Web-based portal.
FactoryTalk VantagePoint software utilizes a unified production model designed to ease organization, analysis and reporting of data gathered from the Rockwell Automation Logix Control Platform, as well as third-party data sources. By doing so, users at all levels in the organization can look at manufacturing performance through role-based key-performance indicators, reports and dashboards so they can more easily meet manufacturing and performance goals.
FactoryTalk Historian SE collects, stores, analyzes and visualizes production data using powerful data capture and storage engines that can be used within process, discrete and hybrid environments. FactoryTalk VantagePoint, in turn, leverages a unified production model to provide access to nearly all plant data sources and produces Web-based reports such as dashboards, trends and Microsoft Excel reports. Operators, engineers, supervisors, management and executives throughout the plant can use these reports to manage cost, quality, production, assets and resources more effectively.
Combining FactoryTalk Historian SE software and FactoryTalk VantagePoint software can turn production data into actionable information. Access to this information can empower users at all levels of an organization to make informed decisions based on a more comprehensive view of the plant.
