July 30, 2013
The aim is to improve the presentation of the various technical assessments required by REACH and to develop new tools where they are needed.
European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) recently published a roadmap to improve the chemical safety reports (CSR) and safety data sheets (SDS). This has been a joint initiative among ECHA, member states and industry associations.
Six years after REACH came into force, industry has played a pivotal role in meeting the first two registration deadlines covering substances produced above 100 tons/year. However, this has not been easy, with the implementation of some aspects of REACH proving to be more difficult than initially expected.
