My local newspaper, The Plain Dealer, highlights top jobs in its Employment section. Usually I skip past most jobs, which are usually in the health-care field. But yesterday that paper featured engineering and called it a vital manufacturing career. I agree. Having covered manufacturing for nearly 15 years, I know that without manufacturing we wouldn't have many of the necessities and certainly none of the extras we use in every day life.
The article notes, "While automation has certainly reduced the number of strictly blue collar manufacturing positions, the change to advanced manufacturing techniques and plants has opened up a wide range of opportunities for all types of engineers, designers and managers."
Once again, I agree. One of my duties as digital editor is to post the most-recent jobs to our ChemConnection job board. Lately there have been a number for good, high-paying jobs at top companies in the chemical industry. I'm talking hundreds of new jobs every week that span the U.S. and the world.
So, if you are in the market for a job or desire a new career path, check out our jobs board. The current jobs feature descriptions, locations and even a chance to apply online.
If you land a new job because of our ChemConnection job board, let us know. We love good news!
