Dow Corning will launch an advanced new moldable optical silicone technology at the Strategies in Light Europe 2013 conference in Munich, Germany, Nov. 19-21.
Dow Corning’s new moldable optical material is the company’s latest addition to its family of optical-grade silicones for LED lamp and luminaire applications. The new product was designed to significantly increase LED light output, improve overall energy efficiency and extend device life and reliability.
Hugo da Silva, global industry director, LED Lighting at Dow Corning, will lead a presentation Nov. 21 at the conference. His presentation will focus on the use of optical-grade silicones as next-generation solutions to help meet the LED industry’s increasing call for products that can overcome the challenges and limitations of traditional optical materials.
He will also discuss how new Dow Corning advances in silicone chemistry and processing are giving LED designers and OEMs greater freedoms to explore new systems and applications and enable more advanced light and luminaire designs.
Dow Corning’s new moldable optical-grade material, along with the company’ complete portfolio of LED lamp and luminaire solutions, will be featured at the Dow Corning booth (B25) during the conference.
