Dow Expands Hand Sanitizer Production To Fight Coronavirus

In a continuing effort to fight spread of the novel coronavirus, Dow is shifting production at its plants around the world, according to an article from MichiganLive. Dow previously directed its plant in Stade, Germany to produce hand sanitizer. Now, the company has reportedly expanded its hand sanitizer production to sites in Auburn, Michigan; South Charleston, West Virginia; Hortolândia, Brazil and Seneffe, Belgium.

Together, the plants will produce an estimated 200 tons of sanitizer per week at maximum output, according to the article. This reportedly equals 880,000 eight-ounce bottles, which will be donated to health systems and governments.
