NX Filtration, a global provider of direct nanofiltration technology for pure and affordable water, announces that Geert-Henk Koops (former global technology leader at Suez Equipment and Systems) has joined the company in the role of technical director. At NX Filtration, Koops will be responsible for product development, quality control and the implementation of continuous improvement processes.
Koops reportedly brings international membrane technology experience from his long career at Suez, where he led a global team of approximately 100 researchers and engineers responsible for product development in the field of water treatment. Prior to that, Koops worked at GE Water & Process Technologies, where he was responsible for R&D and led the global technology team of their ultrafiltration and membrane bioreactor division.
“I am inspired by NX Filtration’s sustainable membrane products that address the water industry’s challenges of today, related to increasing concentrations of small and harmful organic micropollutants in our drinking water and wastewater,” says Koops in a press release from the company. “NX Filtration’s hollow fiber nanofiltration technology offers an efficient and sustainable solution to remove such micropollutants in a simple process with virtually no pretreatment, relatively low energy consumption and a high tolerance for chlorine and solids.”
