Companies Offer Financial Aid To Help Bridge STEM Gender Gap

Numerous scholarships exist to help women finance their STEM educations.
Financial challenges are among the obstacles facing women pursuing a career in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). To help offset the costs and narrow the gender gap in these fields, a number of companies and organizations offer scholarships and other financial assistance to women pursuing higher education STEM, according to an article from CNBC.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) reportedly gave 260+ new and renewed scholarships worth a total of $1 million to female students around the world in 2020. Microsoft also offers scholarships to women pursuing science-oriented degrees, according to the article. Other scholarships for women pursuing STEM careers include: The BHW scholarship for women in STEM, the Virginia Heinlein Memorial Scholarship, the Science Ambassador Scholarship funded by Cards Against Humanity, the ABC Humane Wildlife Women in STEM Academic Scholarship, the Girls Who STEM scholarship, the Adobe Research Women-in-Technology Scholarship, the Hyundai Women in Stem Scholarship and the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program. Scholarships specifically for women pursuing engineering careers include the Palantir Women in Technology Scholarship, the Lynn G. Bellenger Scholarship and the UPS Scholarship for Female Students.
