Flexitallic's largest ever Flexpro gasket
Flexitallic, a global specialist manufacturer and supplier of sealing products and services, says it has manufactured its largest ever Flexpro gasket for use in the development of a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant in the United States. The gasket, with a diameter in excess of five meters, is faced with Thermiculite, a material exclusive to Flexitallic. Thermiculite material reportedly possesses heat and chemical resistance and is rated to withstand temperatures up to 1,000°C. The fire safe gasket material also eradicates graphite oxidation, which limits seal life, and is effective in maintaining joint integrity in demanding environments, according to the company.
Manufactured at its U.K. production facility in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, Flexpro gaskets are available in several styles and can be manufactured to recognize international standards or to suit bespoke connections.
Many facilities handle dangerous processes and products on a daily basis. Keeping everything under control demands well-trained people working with the best equipment.
