Lubrizol Announces Particle Sciences Acquisition

The Lubrizol Corporation acquires Particle Sciences.

The Lubrizol Corporation acquires Bethlehem, PA-based Particle Sciences, a provider of services for the formulation, analysis and production of complex drug delivery solutions including drug eluting device product development and sterile and particulate drug products. Lubrizol has significantly expanded its pharmaceutical development capabilities through new products, facilities, acquisitions and alliances, including the recent acquisition of Vesta. Lubrizol LifeSciences can now provide end-to-end solutions for the drug delivery market, according to the company.

Particle Sciences will be part of Lubrizol Advanced Materials but will retain its company name. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
