Chemical Industry Execs to Keynote Global Plastics Summit

Industry leaders to discuss implications, opportunities and challenges of North American shale gas boom on global plastics industry.

Senior executives from major global plastic resins companies will offer their perspectives on how the North American shale gas boom is impacting the global plastics industry at the Global Plastics Summit Nov. 4-6 in Chicago.

IHS is co-hosting the event in conjunction with SPI, the U.S. plastics industry trade association.

Delivering keynote addresses during the event will be Greg Jozwiak, North America commercial vice president at Dow Chemical; Cleantho de Paiva Leite Filho, director, commercial and business development for Braskem IDESA; Giovanni Cassuti, vice president, polyethylene business unit of Italian petrochemical company Versalis; Scott Farmer, executive vice president of global purchasing at Berry Plastics, and Nariman Behravesh, chief economist at IHS.

Over the course of three days, they will share their insights on the market outlook for key polymer and raw materials, technical and product development, innovations, challenges and opportunities in the dynamic plastics industry, which impacts plastic producers, converters, distributors and all related industry professionals.
