Acquisition enables creation of backup and disaster recovery service.
Industrial Defender recently purchased Fandotech LLC, a provider of backup and disaster recovery services. With the acquisition, the company has debuted a new backup and disaster recovery service. Called Survive Services, the offering is built on Industrial Defender’s Automation Systems Manager (ASM) solution and leverages Fandotech’s expertise and data center facilities.
The company intends Survive Services to meet the unique operational technology challenges of ICS environments and stand up to NERC compliance audits. It provides backup and disaster recovery of critical automation system data from clients, servers, and other devices unique to the control system environment such as select intelligent electronic devices (IEDs); human machine interfaces (HMIs), engineering workstations, and remote terminal units (RTUs).
Survive Services includes two additional service for backup and disaster recovery. Survive Backup Services provides monitoring and remediation of onsite or offsite backup services at Industrial Defender’s SSAE/16 Type II data center. Survive Disaster Recovery Services helps customers that experience unforeseen outages of an ASM or other critical servers restores the customer’s remote backups to a backup server hosted at Industrial Defender’s data center.
