Air Liquide Announces Executive Appointments

Michael J. Graff, president and CEO, Air Liquide USA LLC, recently announced two executive appointments in the company's Industrial Merchant business line, which serves over 5,000 customers throughout the U.S.

Etienne Lepoutre
Etienne Lepoutre was appointed chief operating officer, Industrial Merchant businesses, for Air Liquide USA LLC, with responsibility to oversee the management and operations of the bulk, packaged and specialty gases businesses in the U.S., as well as advanced technology offerings. Lepoutre also oversees Air Liquide's activities in the Caribbean region, namely in Trinidad, the Dominican Republic and the French Antilles. Lepoutre has split his 23-year career at Air Liquide between the U.S. and France. During this time, he held various responsibilities in R&D, marketing and business development in the U.S. and in France. In 2001, he took responsibility for the strategic control function of the Large Industries business in the U.S., and in 2002 became responsible for global strategic control at Air Liquide world headquarters in Paris. In 2005, he returned to the U.S. to become president of Air Liquide Industrial U.S. LP, the bulk gases entity in the U.S., leading up to his current appointment.

Mark Lostak
Mark Lostak was appointed president, Air Liquide Industrial U.S. LP, the business responsible for providing bulk gases and related services to a diverse base of customers in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, metals and automotive markets. Lostak's 21-year career with Air Liquide spans responsibilities in production, product development, supply chain and regional management. From 2004 to 2008, he was based in Austria as general manager of Air Liquide's activities in central European countries. Lostak returned to the U.S. to assume his current position.
