Oklahoma University Adds Chemical Engineering Degree

Rogers State University will begin offering a chemical engineering degree in the upcoming school year.

Students considering a career in chemical engineering can now add Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma to their list of prospective colleges. The university says it is adding a four-year chemical engineering degree program to its offerings for the 2023-2024 school year, according to an article from The Claremore Daily Progress.
The 22-year-old university reportedly identified chemical engineering as an area where it needed to grow. It is the first engineering degree offered at Rogers State University, one of three state supported engineering schools in Oklahoma, according to the article. RSU President Dr. Larry Rice describes it as a “watershed moment” in the school’s relatively short history and notes it was made possible through partnerships with area industrial parks.
