The incident occurred in the morning on May 1 at the hydrogen peroxide production area of Luxi Chemical Group under Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd.

The Zhonghua Group plant is located in an industrial zone in the city of Liaocheng in the northern province of Shandong.

Previous reports of five found dead at the site rose when on-site staff discovered another four bodies during further search-and-rescue operations.
