Midland, Michigan-based Dow chemical company has received a top score on the Disability Equality Index (DEI) and is recognized as “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion” for the seventh consecutive year. DEI is a comprehensive benchmarking tool for the Fortune 1000 to measure disability workplace inclusion against competitors.
DEI was created by business leaders, policy experts and disability advocates, in partnership with Disability:IN and The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), to help businesses make a positive impact on the unemployment/underemployment of people with disabilities.
"We are extremely proud that Dow continues to maintain its top position on the 2023 Disability Equality Index,” said John Sampson, executive sponsor for Dow's Disability Employee Resource Group and senior vice president of operations, manufacturing and engineering in a press release. "This recognition demonstrates the Company's dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and creating a workplace where individuals of every ability can thrive. At Dow, we firmly believe that people with disabilities are an invaluable pool of talent that consistently contribute significant value to our customers and the communities where we operate.”
