Hantemp Controls expands its Cobra-Neck line of ball valves for harsh, corrosive refrigeration system environments. Featuring all stainless steel construction, Cobra-Neck ball valves are now available in a wider selection of sizes (3/4” to 4” connections). When equipped with an actuator for motorized control, Cobra-Neck valves can control pressure, temperature, flow and refrigerant liquid level. The valves are approved for a safe operating fluid temperature of -70°F to 240°F and a safe working pressure (SWP) of 800 psig (55 bar), according to the company. Cobra-Neck ball valves are reportedly compatible with common refrigerants including ammonia, CO2 and many secondary refrigerants.
