The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its April 2006 Booked Orders Index was 166 up 15 points or an increase of 10% from March 2006's Index of 151 (1990=100). The April 2006 Index represents a decrease of 5% from the April 2005 Index of 174.
April Booked Orders Indexes were 179 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 164 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Booked Orders was 146 in April. Index in April is down 1 point or 1% from March 2006's Twelve-Month Index of 147.
The CEMA Billed Sales (shipments) Index was 140 in April down 20 points or a decrease of 13% from the March Index of 160. The April 2006 Index represents no change from the April 2005 Index of 140.
April Billed Sales Indexes were 188 for Bulk Handling Equipment* and 136 for Unit Handling Equipment*(1990=100).
The Twelve-Month Index for Billed Sales was 141 in April. Index represents no change from March 2006's Twelve-Month Index of 141.
