Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control (APC) has introduced a new pulse-cleaned industrial vacuum that drastically reduces clogs to prevent the problems that result from loss of suction during cleaning. Called the FarrVac, it is the first such unit to operate without compressed air and may be used for everyday cleanup, as a dedicated dust collector for a single process machine, or as an accessory to an installed dust collector when replacing or emptying dust drawers or drums. Using pulse-cleaning vacuum control technology that works with ambient air to flush filters of dust and debris automatically, the heavy duty FarrVac unit offers more dependable performance and lower initial and operating costs than many similar units requiring compressed air.
The FarrVac unit comes equipped with durable spun bond polyester filters that last up to 10 times longer than conventional filters and capture dust particles to 0.1 micron. A double seal on the filters ensures rated efficiency, and a cyclonic housing design minimizes filter exposure to debris. Additional features include a sturdy wide-stance dolly for easy yet stable maneuverability, a lightweight aluminum wand and floor sweep, and galvanized or powder coated metal parts to withstand the harshest environments.
The FarrVac industrial vacuum uses a 170 CFM motor and operates on 120VAC, 50/60 Hz power. The 16-gallon tank is equipped with a sensor that prevents overfilling, protecting filters and motor components from dust contamination. An optional drum extender allows the FarrVac head unit to be mounted on a 55-gallon drum with or without a dolly. Replacements filters are also available.
