Frank Glorius Wins 2020 Otto-Roelen Medal
The German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (DECHEMA), Frankfurt, has announced the winner of the 2020 Otto-Roelen Medal, which the group has conferred biennially since 1995 to honor outstanding scientific achievements in catalysis. This year’s winner is Prof. Frank Glorius from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität, Münster, Germany, for his developments in the field of chemo- and stereo-selective hydrogenation of aromatics. His research focuses on conversion of flat aromatics into three-dimensional cyclic products.

Glorius will receive the Medal, which includes a €5,000 prize, on March 12 during the 53th Annual Meeting of German Catalysis Scientists in Weimar, Germany.
