SC Media is hosting the virtual event, “Preventing Ransomware and Data Exfiltration,” on February 22-23, 2022. During the free, two-day interactive learning program, a panel of cybersecurity experts will help bolster attendees’ knowledge on detection efforts to prevent their organizations from being locked out.
The COVID-19 pandemic has seen an increase in ransomware attacks. From Colonial Pipeline to JBS USA, every sector has reportedly seen a rise in ransomware attacks with increasing ransoms. Not only are these ransomware criminals stopping critical operations, like the Colonial Pipeline and multiple hospitals, they’re also stealing sensitive, regulated data that they use to further blackmail their targets. Even when ransoms get paid, these stolen files appear on dark web trading sites, and vulnerability data on the target is often reused by new ransomware operators, according to SC Media.
“Preventing Ransomware and Data Exfiltration” will cover topics including:
- Results from SC Media’s Ransomware Research Survey
- Stopping ransomware at the endpoint
- Ransomware defenses for today’s multi-cloud environments
Attendees can also earn up to 6.5 CPEs, depending upon their participation. If unable to attend live, those interested can register to receive the content once it becomes available on-demand.
