Witt enhances iGASES app.
The latest version of Witt’s iGASES app for Android and iOS provides more detailed answers to questions regarding technical gases and their uses. New tools include a gas advisor, a gas lexicon, a unit converter and a flow rate calculator for gas safety equipment.
The integrated gas advisor provides users with recommendations for the appropriate gas composition. The gas lexicon contains important properties such as density, vapor pressure, flammability limits or thermal conductivity as well as safety information for numerous gases. Required values such as pressure, volume, flow rate, temperature, mass and other parameters can be converted to international units of measurement with the extra unit converter. The integrated flow rate calculator allows users to determine the right gas safety equipment for the design of technical gas systems with the help of the Cv value – irrespective of the original manufacturer of the equipment. Data sheets for the prescribed equipment can be called up directly from the Witt website.
The app establishes a direct email connection on request. This enables a personal response from an expert at the Witt head office to individual questions. The app is available in German or English. iGASES is available as a free download in the App Store and Android Market.
