Spirax Sarco has released its 2013 schedule of training center courses covering all aspects of steam. The curriculum’s objective is to provide organizations with new skills to reduce energy costs and improve the safety and efficiency of steam plant operations. Spirax Sarco training centers are located in Columbia, S.C.; Chicago; Houston; Los Angeles; and Allentown, Pa.
Each program has been designed specifically for steam users involved in engineering, operation and maintenance.
Areas covered include energy management, HVAC, operations, piping and process design, project engineering, process engineering and maintenance. In addition to traditional applications, the courses cover the latest technical developments. Practical demonstrations of capability of boilers, steam traps, condensate pumps, heat exchangers, valves, instrument and controls are performed in fully-equipped steam labs.
Classes in the 2013 schedule include Heat Transfer Fundamentals, Fundamentals of Steam Utilization, Steam Traps and Condensate Pumps, Pressure and Temperature Controls, Steam System Design, Metering and Industrial Fluids, Clean Steam Utilization and Steam Utilization in the Hospital Industry. Also available are custom-design training classes for small and large groups to meet specific needs.
