Air Main Charging Valve Automatically Opens and Closes

Dec. 12, 2012
Valve is available in a number of configurations to meet the requirements of various system types.

Kaeser's redesigned Air Main Charging Valve (AMCV) reduces the exposure time of air-treatment components to the elevated air velocities that exist while an air system is being pressurized. In many applications, exposure time can be reduced by 50 percent or more, according to Kaeser.

The AMCV automatically opens and closes to maintain a set minimum pressure in the supply side of the air system and more slowly charge the main distribution piping. This may help extend service life of air-treatment components. AMCVs are available in a number of configurations to meet the requirements of various system types, including a high temperature version for use after externally heated dryers.
