Spirax Sarco has released a new range of VHT vent heads that are suitable for vertical open-ended steam vent pipes. The vent heads were designed to safely discharge dry steam to the atmosphere at low velocity, protecting personnel from injury, buildings from damage and minimize the nuisance of water spray on the surroundings.
Environmental concerns drive the need for products that reduce wastage and achieve reduction in carbon emissions. The new internal drain recovers condensate that would have otherwise been directed to an external drain and removes the possibility of hot condensate exceeding temperature limitations of local drainage.
The VHT vent heads are produced from austenitic stainless steel. The vent heads are particularly suitable for blowdown vessels, feed tanks and condensate receivers.
