Edition includes corrections to the previous standard, along with updated information gleaned from upgrades of other reference materials.
The Heat Exchange Institute (HEI) recently released the 7th edition of “Standards for Steam Jet Vacuum Systems.”
This edition includes corrections to the previous standard, along with updated information gleaned from upgrades of other reference materials.
The standard concentrates on establishing minimum requirements for system construction and the method of performance testing steam jet ejectors. Institute standards are used throughout the world for the design, manufacture, and operation of heat exchange and vacuum equipment.
HEI is a nonprofit trade association that focuses on the manufacturing and engineering aspects of air-cooled condensers, steam-surface condensers, closed feedwater heaters, shell and tube heat exchangers, liquid-ring vacuum pumps, steam-jet ejectors and deaerators.
Many facilities handle dangerous processes and products on a daily basis. Keeping everything under control demands well-trained people working with the best equipment.
