Emerson Process Management has expanded its suite of Smart Meter Verification technology products to include Rosemount magnetic flow meters, which are part of its range of intelligent, digital field devices that power the PlantWeb digital plant architecture.
Smart Meter Verification delivers complete, on-line verification of device performance, reducing process interruption and costs associated with labor and outsourced calibration services. The technology is embedded in the transmitter to verify calibration and the complete health of the sensor, electronics, and analog loop.
Smart Meter Verification limits the number of trips to the field required to calibrate or remove the meter from the line. With no need to break process seals, the technology also can reduce environmental impact. Measurement integrity feedback is delivered in less than two minutes and can be set to run continuously in the background or accessed as needed.
