Brooks Instrument Adds Low-Flow Rate Option To Rotameters
Oct. 26, 2011
Unit designed for high-pressure, high-temperature applications.
Brooks Instrument has added a low-flow rate to its Model MT3809 armored rotameters. With the new option, the MT3809 is now capable of accurately measuring flow rates as low as 5 L/h of air and 0.08 L/h of water. Designed for high-pressure, high-temperature and other demanding applications where safety is a concern, the rotameters provide ± 2% full-scale flow accuracy, and are capable of measuring high- and low-temperature fluids.
Other options available with the low-flow option include HART communications from low- to high-flow ranges; 316 stainless steel indicator housing suited for corrosive atmosphere applications; a transmitter for low-flow, high-temperature applications with process fluid temperatures up to 150 degrees Celsius or 300 degrees Fahrenheit; and low-flow, high-pressure capacity that can handle pressures to 6,000 PSIG/400 bar. In addition, leak points are eliminated because elastomers are not required for flanged meters.
Many facilities handle dangerous processes and products on a daily basis. Keeping everything under control demands well-trained people working with the best equipment.
