ABB Brochure Showcases SensyTemp Sensors

Sensors handle high-temperature processing applications.

A four-page, full-color illustrated brochure from ABB describes the SensyTemp TSH200 series of temperature sensors designed for high temperatures of 1,112 degrees Fahrenheit to 3,272 degrees Fahrenheit. The brochure notes that the sensors, having modular components, provide a wide range of possible combinations to fit a variety of high-temperature applications.

Choices include thermocouple types, thermowell materials, ceramic protection and stainless stay tubes, and connection heads. The brochure lists such applications as annealing; cement, brick, glass, and ceramic industries; blast furnaces; and incineration.

One page covers three basic variations, depending on the highest temperature requirements. The TSH210 temperature sensor meets requirements up to 2,372 degrees Fahrenheit. The TSH220 sensor measures temperatures up to 3,272 degrees Fahrenheit and includes a ceramic thermowell and stainless steel stay tube.

The TSH250 sensor is designed for molten glass temperatures up to 3,002 degrees Fahrenheit using stainless-steel thermocouples. It's available with a triple-stage element to measure temperature distributions of the molten bath. All temperature sensors of the TSH200 series can be calibrated in the ABB lab with traceability to a national standard.
