Total Organic Carbon Analyzer Runs Thousands Of Samples
The new Sievers InnovOx Laboratory Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzer from GE Analytical Instruments runs thousands of industrial process and environmental water TOC samples—including brine and cellulose—with unprecedented uptime, according to the company.
The InnovOx uses a patent-pending Supercritical Water Oxidation (SCWO) technique to achieve superior TOC recoveries regardless of organic compounds and particulate impurities in the sample. SCWO also removes oxidation byproducts and sample between each analytical run, eliminating frequent maintenance and expensive catalyst replacement.
The InnovOx uses an enhanced NDIR design with a 0.5-50,000 ppm detection range, and measures TC, TIC, TOC, and NPOC. The InnovOx has a Web interface for remote monitoring, is easy to operate, and requires no external carrier gas. Preventive maintenance and calibration are recommended every six months.
