The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) will host a new conference in May to focus on how biomass feedstocks can be used to generate low-carbon energy.
The conference, called “Delivering Low Carbon Energy from Biomass,” takes place in London, England, May 2. Confirmed speakers include Ian Shott, IChemE past president and chair of the UK government’s Leadership Forum for Industrial Biotechnology; Matthew White, AB Sugar’s head of energy; and the University of Nottingham’s Ed Lester.
The conference is aimed at people with an interest in low-carbon energy supply, sustainable development, green growth and recycling. The event is being staged in association with IChemE’s Energy Conversion Special Interest Group.
The event will focus on some of the current and emerging technologies in the field, the research being undertaken in academic circles and how industry is adapting.
