Software Package Offers Statistical Analysis and Technical Plotting
Poly Software International announces the release of its software package for statistical analysis and technical plotting: ProStat version 4.8 for Windows.
Version 4.8 of ProStat incorporates all the features found in the previous version plus over 30 new features. These features include: Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric multiple comparisons, Dunnett test, Weibull analysis, Kaplan-Meier survival estimates, simplex and Powell methods for nonlinear regression, over 100 predefined regression models for model development and curve fitting and many others. Plot wizard creates user-desired plot in a more convenient, intuitive way. Several new plot types and new axis scales have also been added in this version.
ProStat includes a range of basic statistical methods and advanced multivariate statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, t-test, f-test, nonparametric test, ANOVA, MANOVA, ANCOVA, factor analysis, principal component analysis, cluster analysis, discrimination analysis, correspondence analysis, correlation analysis, canonical analysis, time series and variant data interpolation and regression methods. ProStat provides a convenient facility for conversion of area probabilities and critical values. The data sheet interface includes a set of speed buttons for quickly accessing the most-used commands. You can easily select data columns to perform most data-analyzing and graphing tasks. Data can be exchanged to/from most popular file formats including Excel, dBase and ASCII.
The ProStat program also has a plot window to let you create and edit graphs. It has a toolbox with many drawing tools and a simple equation editor. It also offers many 2D and 3D plot types such as scattering plot, bar charts and histogram, boxplot, error bar, hi-lo, step, area, stock charts and surface graphs. Multiple axes and plots can be placed in one page. The graphs created with ProStat can be easily inserted into other Windows applications or exported to EPS, PDF, JPEG, GIF, and other popular graphics formats.
