Charles Ross & Son Company now stocks three sizes of its V-Blenders. The V-Blenders' design is most often used for intimate dry blending of free-flowing solids. Normal cycle times are typically 15 minutes long, but can be less depending on blending difficulty. The materials being blended are constantly being split and intermixed as the shell rotates. The solids can vary in bulk density and in percentage of the total mixture.
All Ross V-Blenders are supplied with intensifier bars to permit delumping and deagglomeration as needed. Discharge is accomplished through a manually operated butterfly valve, which is positioned 24 inches from the floor when in the bottom position. Appropriate safety railings, safety interlocks, stop-start and E-stop pushbuttons are included with all blenders.
The line of dry blenders is available in five-, 10- and 15-cubic-foot capacities. All blenders include the following standard features:
- Intensifier bars for delumping
- Atmospheric construction
- Type 316 stainless steel parts
- 150 grit exterior finish, mirror finish on internal surfaces
- Stainless steel support stands
- Manually operated butterfly discharge valves
- Safety railings
- Fully integrated motors and controls
The units are available for sale or trial rental. Ross V-Blenders can also be customized to include special discharge valves and other customer requirements.
