BASF will showcase its technology at INFORMEX 2009, Jan. 27-30, at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, Calif.
Visitors to BASF booth 818 will be able to see the custom synthesis, catalyst solutions, intermediates, and inorganic specialties solutions that support the development of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates from the laboratory stage to commercial scale.
The theme of BASF’s booth is “Chemistry for Good Health.” The company will focus on four key technologies that help customers be more successful:
Catalytic solutions -- Enabling technologies that help bring greater efficiency and profitability to a wide range of manufacturing processes.
Hydrogenations & hydride reactions -- Reagents and technologies used in synthetic organic chemistry for BASF customers, both in the laboratory and for production scale.
C-C coupling -- Versatile methods for the synthesis of carbon-carbon bonds.
Chiral chemistry -- A wide range of versatile, optically-active reagents and building blocks for the synthesis of chiral molecules, which are used to develop medications from heart disease to cancer.
Additionally, Niranjan Deo, business development manager, custom synthesis, will deliver BASF’s exhibitor showcase presentation, titled “Chemistry for Good Health,” on Jan. 27 at 10:20 a.m. in Room 303 of the Moscone Center.
BASF also will present four technology showcases, each of which is tied to the booth theme, on Jan. 27 in Room 300 of the Moscone Center:
