Catalyst Provides Advanced Aromatic Purification

Sept. 10, 2013
Unit replaces previous model without needed modifications to customer equipment or operating conditions.

BASF has introduced its newest catalyst and adsorbent for advanced aromatic purification, F24X.  It replaces the F-24 catalyst without any needed modifications to customer equipment or operating conditions.

F-24X provides improved process unit economics through extended life and shortened start-up time through lower moisture. It performs in fixed bed purification of aromatics while removing olefins that can contaminate downstream adsorption and catalytic units.

F24X can be used for the purification of benzene, toluene, xylene, cumene, kerosene, jet fuel and other petroleum and petrochemical process streams.
